After the success of 2010 entitled Guitar, Mon Amour! , returns to the Civic Theatre Dalmine (BG), the new edition of the festival Folk Meetings, the popular event created by Geo Music of Gigi Bresciani with the City of Dalmine. For this new edition the exhibition retraces some of the most significant passages and connections between Brazil, USA and Great Britain , folk and rock, world music and song writing , involving internationally renowned artists in special concerts, designed specifically for the Italian public.
Friday, March 25 at Cultural Center adjacent to the Civic Theatre, the organizing staff will present the public with the characteristics of the event, and presentation will follow the exhibition-event The clothes of the music - The history of pop in the covers discs. Supervised by a lover and collector Paul Mazzucchelli , the exhibition is a journey through the history of rock through the most important covers , Starting from the beginning until today. The show goes live Friday, April 1 with the expected concert of Renato Borghetti Quartet . Virtuoso gaita ponto- ( unmistakable accordion buttons to southern Brazil) and author of an extensive discography , Brazilian accordionist will sounds, colors and atmospheres of the land: the footage of her quartet through a unique and fascinating traditional Brazilian and South American influences with jazz, tango and cultured .
Friday, April 8 the scenario will change completely with the arrival one of the most acclaimed contemporary rocker : born in New York and transplanted to France, active since 1973 and considered one of the heirs of Bob Dylan, Elliott Murphy will live in Dalmine Olivier Durand, one of his loyal collaborators, who participated in his latest self-titled album, released at the end of 2010 . The grand finale with the arrival in Italy of English Robyn Hitchcock: Friday, April 15 Former Soft Boys, a celebrated inventor of psychedelic rock and surrealist , author of one of the most eclectic discography the last thirty 'years, will participate in Folk Meetings in duo con la splendida violoncellista di origine nigeriana Jenny Adejayan.
